One of the free services offered by our schools is finding suitable accommodation for our students. Accommodation is regularly checked by our schools. You can choose from one of the following possibilities: - Single or double room in a college directed by Benedictin monks ; - Single or double room in a family with breakfast; - Single or double room in a family with half board; - Single or double room in an apartment; usually with bath and kitchen shared with other students; Upon request, we can also arrange rooms in Hotels of all categories or Bed & Breakfast as well as independent flats, mini apartments, residences and boarding houses. Accommodation in a college directed by Benedictine Monks: We can accommodate the students in a college directed by Benedictine Monks in Bassano Romano (www.bassano-romano.it) at few kilometres far from Rome near the Bracciano Lake in a land rich in history, art, tradition, nature and mysteries. A chance to spent a period among uncontaminated forests, lakes, beaches, to dive into history from the Etruscans to the Middle Ages, from Renaissance villas to nowadays. The structure has been officially recognized as a holiday centre and it has various kinds of guest rooms. There are single and double rooms which are well furnished and have a private bathroom. Furthermore, there are larger rooms with connecting bathrooms for small groups or families of 5 or 6 people, as well as dormitories which can accommodate from 15 to 25 guests and are usually used for Scout Groups. In the surrounding gardens of the monastery there is a football pitch, and a large pinewood for the guests to visit. One can choose full board, half board or just accommodation. Accommodation in host-family: Living with a host family offers you the opportunity to become quickly into the Italian society. Nowhere else will you so directly experience real Italian life. The word 'family' should not be taken too literally, because your family could also be a single parent or a childless couple who take in students because they enjoy the company. You can choose between a room with breakfast or half-board (breakfast and dinner). It is obvious that you will have to adjust a little to the rules of the house. Apart from that, you are free to do what you want. You will be given your own keys, so you can come and go as you please. Students in home-stays will be able to receive phone calls. Accommodation in a shared apartment: You share a flat or floor of a house either with other students from our school, with other Italian students or with the owner. In selecting the apartments, we do not look for luxury and comfort in material sense, but the apartments are furnished with all essential utilities (bed, table, chair, wardrobe). Kitchen and bathroom are of common use. In the fully equipped kitchen you can prepare your meals separately or together with your flatmates and fellow students. Normally there is no telephone in the apartment. You and your fellow-lodgers are expected to keep your apartment clean, although every two weeks an employee will clean the common areas. Accommodation in a private apartment: Private apartments are more comfortable than shared apartments and therefore more expensive. They are available for one or more persons. Prices are available on request. Please note that the private apartments must be reserved well in advance and the prices may vary depending on the city and season. |
